Professional info
Since 1990, I have delivered professional development to teachers, parents, students, seniors and the general public, working with a number a of primary schools and universities, Government Departments, Businesses and Private Language Schools in Australia and China.
As the Computer (IT) Co-ordinator of many Government Schools, I designed and conducted computer courses for parents and teachers to develop computer awareness and Computer literacy skills to assist their child/student’s learning.
As a part-time Community Education Liaison for the University of Notre Dame in Fremantle (UND), I instigated, designed, conducted and assessed courses tailored for the Department of Transport personnel, teachers, UND students, businesses and the general community.
I have been a guest speaker for Murdoch University to present "New Learning Technologies" and "Computers as a Tool in the Classroom" seminars to students.
As a participant in the EDWA Innovations in the Classroom and AAPT Virtual Classrooms Projects, I investigated and implemented, ‘Computers as Tools in the Classroom’ Projects. This allowed me to develop and accumulate skills and knowledge on the latest trends and developments in modern teaching and learning technologies for children and adults; an interest I have maintained.
